Campaign Story

My name is Bree, and my husband, Noah, and I have been together for almost 6 years. We met in Hawaii where we were both stationed as our first duty station. My husband was Navy, and I was Army. We had no issues getting pregnant with our son, who we welcomed in August of 2019 after a healthy and uncomplicated pregnancy. We started trying for our second in summer of 2020, and didn’t have the same luck the second time around.

After about a year of trying, I was diagnosed with Asherman’s syndrome in November of 2021. I had 5 surgeries from November 2021 to August of 2022 to remove my scarring and to help me hopefully give our 4 year old son a sibling. I conceived spontaneously in January of 2023 after 2 canceled IUI cycles and one completed, but unsuccessful cycle. I unfortunately lost my pregnancy at 20 weeks gestation. In the months after losing our daughter, I went to see a specialist in my condition to make sure I didn’t develop any scarring after our loss, and we got in with a new fertility specialist. We have tried several medicated cycles, one was unsuccessful, and one gave us a chemical pregnancy in December. Our son has since been asking “when we’re going to get another baby,” and that is, unfortunately, a question we don’t quite know how to answer. We have been told our best chance is to pursue IVF, and have our embryos tested to help mitigate the risk of miscarriage or another chemical pregnancy.
The funds raised will be going directly to the cost of our retrieval, PGT testing, and transfer. We genuinely appreciate you reading our story, and your consideration for potentially helping us complete our family and finally hold our rainbow baby.
